Since 2006 three new awards will be annually presented in the frameworks of EMMY - the most prestigious premium of TV industry. For the first time the International Academy of Television Arts & Sciences, the establisher of EMMY, and the Reed MIDEM company founded international premium EMMY for achievements in the field of interactive TV including three nominations:
New EMMY awards are established as a sign of recognition of a great role of interactive technologies and services in development of world TV.
The jury of new EMMY premium includes 36 top-managers from the leading companies in the sphere of interactive TV all over the world. The work of jury begins on 23 of January 2006 and will go on till 6 of February. The Ernst and Young agency is authorized to sum up the work of the jury.
Names of 12 nominees selected by the jury (four in each of three categories) will be announced on 21 of February. Winners will be known on 5 of April, 2006 on EMMY Awards ceremony which takes place in Cannes, France in the frameworks of MIPTV - the largest International Forum of TV industry. For the first time in history the EMMY award will be presented outside the USA. The International Academy of Television Arts & Sciences also established the Pioneer Prize invested to representatives of media business for the special contribution in development of interactive technologies on TV.

The aim was to collect a required sum to pay for liver transplantation surgery for 7-month old Danila Semibratov in one of clinics in Belgium. TV viewers could get instructions how to transmit money to the charity account by making a phone call to the editors of the program. But it appeared that the number of TV-viewers who are ready to give practical help is so high, that the phone lines could not cope with the traffic, and a lot of people were forced not to participate in the honorable affair because they simply couldn’t reach the editors. In this situation an SMS-line that was made to gather requests from those who are ready to give help appeared to be a way out. TV-viewers were requested simply to send SMS-messages to number 7700, and the editors of “Vremechko” connected the viewers on the day after the air of the program. So thanks to the SMS-line all the mobile networks subscribers were able to take part in the charity campaign without any problem with busy phone lines. As a result the required sum was successfully collected. On 15 of August Danila and his mother Tatiana flew out to Brussels. We sincerely hope that the surgery proves out to be successful and the boy will be saved.

'HOUSE' - is a reality show with a prize of 8 million rubles, the highest prize in the history of Russian television. 12 couples are building a house, but in three months time the keys will only be allocated to one winning couple. During the competition TV viewers send their SMS stating the couple, which in their opinion, most deserves to win. In the Final, TV viewers vote for the couple that should receive the main prize.
This game takes place within the frames of VJ block 'Bolshaya peremena' ('Breaktime'). The presenter offers TV viewers the chance to guess a 5-digit number, for example '1300' or '17389' to the indicated short number. One message can contain only one guess. In response the viewer receives a message with a hint, for example 'Your number is higher than the winning number' or 'Your number is lower than the winning number'. As soon as an SMS with the right number is received, the game is finished.
'One out of two' - is a competition of two video clips of two performers. During the broadcasting of each video, on the bottom of the screen the viewers can see a running total with the name of the performer, clip name and the phone number for voting, as well as the number of those who have already voted for this clip, as a percentage. The viewers are offered two phone numbers, one for each video. On any given day the full videos are broadcast three times (in VJ blocks 'Bolshaya Peremena' ('Breaktime') and 'Vecherniy Zvon' ('Evening Ring')).
